In New York there is a vibe that says "I have my own style and I dress for myself so I don't care what you think" that is somehow so refreshing for us. The south tends to be a bit opposite, don't you think? We traveled there a few weeks ago for Martha's birthday (and to do some major fabric shopping) and here are a few photos that capture what we love about New York.

The art. This is one of our favorite pieces at MOMA.

The fabric. More variety and selection than we could ever imagine. It was a dream.

We attended a book discussion with this kind gentleman who knows a thing or two about style! He was just as pleasant in person as you would imagine him to be.

Pretty much sums us up. Minus the garbage cans. :)
